Premium Healthcare, Managed
Thoughtful and Personalised Menopause Care
DGA Health’s Menopause Clinic takes a comprehensive, holistic approach to menopause care, ensuring each treatment plan is tailored to your unique experiences, preferences, and medical history.
We work together to explore a wide range of treatment options, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and non-hormonal alternatives, to determine what best supports your symptoms, well-being, and long-term health.
Education sits at the heart of our approach. We guide you through all available treatment options and provide practical, holistic advice for managing your hormonal health and overall well-being.
Led by Dr Ellie Cannon
The DGA Health Menopause Clinic is led by Dr Ellie Cannon, an NHS and Private GP with deep expertise in women’s health and menopause care. Her approach is known for being calm, balanced and evidence-led — helping women cut through the noise, understand their options clearly, and make confident decisions about their treatment.
Ellie places great importance on honesty and nuance. She supports the benefits of HRT but is equally committed to explaining its limitations without over-promising. Patients value her level-headed guidance, her ability to translate complex information into something digestible, and the sense of reassurance she brings to what can be a confusing stage of life.
Alongside her clinical work, Ellie is well recognised in the media for offering clear, trustworthy health advice. She writes the weekly Health column for The Mail on Sunday, appears regularly on BBC, ITV and LBC, and is known for her straightforward communication style.
Her recently published book on HRT reflects the same philosophy: practical, impartial and designed to empower women with sensible, reliable information.
A Place Where You Feel Understood
Menopause Care Designed Around You
Menopause can be unsettling, especially when symptoms are wide-ranging or unpredictable. Many women feel overlooked or unheard before they arrive with us. We make it a priority to ensure you feel listened to, validated and supported by clinicians who understand what you’re going through and know how to help.
Menopause Care Designed Around You
Our Approach
No two women experience menopause in the same way, and meaningful support must reflect that. Our clinic is built around understanding your symptoms, your priorities and what matters most to you.
-
Compassionate Care
Our clinicians combine deep medical expertise with warmth, empathy and attentive listening. Your appointments give you the time and space to describe what you're experiencing in a supportive, non-judgemental environment.
-
Specialist Guidance
Whatever your medical history, there is someone who can help. Our team includes menopause specialist general practitioners experienced in supporting women with complex backgrounds, including migraines, thyroid conditions, and those with a personal or family history of breast cancer.
-
Personalised Treatment
Every recommendation we make is grounded in your medical history, lifestyle and preferences. Using our clinical experience and specialist knowledge, we design treatment plans that reflect your specific symptoms, lifestyle goals and overall health.
What to Expect
Your Menopause Consultation
Your care begins with a 40-minute consultation with one of our female GPs, starting at £240. During this appointment, we take time to understand your symptoms, medical history and priorities in detail. Your doctor will discuss both hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options, carry out any relevant examinations, and explain whether further investigations, such as blood tests or imaging, may be useful.
-
First Consultation
Personalised menopause plan
Following your consultation, most women benefit from a structured period of support while their treatment begins to take effect. At DGA Health, this often involves a personalised 12-week plan focusing on symptoms, lifestyle, sleep, movement and nutrition. Your doctor will outline what this could look like for you, and how it would integrate with any medications or therapeutic options you choose.
-
Follow-Up Appointment
Your three-month review
As part of our joined-up approach, we recommend a review at three months so that your doctor can assess how you’re responding, refine your treatment plan and offer further guidance and support. Many women find this check-in reassuring, particularly during the settling-in phase of HRT or when navigating changes in symptoms.
-
Continuous Support
Support when you need it
Your menopause specialist GP remains available to you for future guidance and support whenever you need it – For example providing repeat prescriptions, review appointments and annual HRT reviews. Our aim at DGA Health is to leave you feeling supported whatever the stage of your journey.
-

Menopause Nutrition
Menopause can significantly affect appetite, digestion, metabolism and body weight. Dedicated dietetic support helps you understand these changes and build a sustainable, personalised nutrition strategy. Working closely with you in the context of a dedicated appointment, our dietitian Sara Hausmann can provide tailored guidance that reflects your lifestyle, symptoms and long-term health goals.
-

Testosterone Therapy
Testosterone plays an important role in women’s health, contributing to energy levels, mood, cognitive function, muscle strength and sexual wellbeing. During perimenopause and menopause, some women develop symptoms linked to low testosterone, and targeted treatment can make a meaningful difference. We can offer testosterone therapy following a detailed clinical assessment, ensuring your hormonal care remains coordinated and fully overseen by an experienced clinician.
-

Menopause Weight Management
Weight changes during menopause are common due to shifts in metabolism, hormonal balance and body composition. Tailored weight-management support can make a significant difference. For women who need additional help, GLP-1–based treatments like Wegovy and Mounjaro may play a valuable role within a medically supervised programme. Our clinicians can advise how these options can be integrated with your wider menopause plan if you wish to consider this.
